Today a video of a Chinese hypnosis session has hit the news with the headline “Hypnosis Video Sleep: Watch Banned Self Hypnosis Video”. In this 27 minute long video two people discuss hypnosis in English, and then Mooncy Wu performs a live hypnosis routine in Mandarin, the language most commonly spoken in China.

‎So what is so mystical and “banned” about this video? While I don’t speak Chinese I imagine that this is simply a relaxation hypnosis session given then intriguing title of “Banned Self Hypnosis Video” by World Buzz Now. The title alone has driven over 1,000 people to watch the video today. However upon further investigation the original title of the video was the much less sensationalistic “HBE Special- 中文催眠 (普通话) Hypnosis in Chinese with Mooncy Wu”.

Banned hypnosis technique: No.

Great marketing: Yes.
