<p>Hypnosis is an extremely effective way to make positive lasting  changes in your life. Through hypnosis you can talk directly with your  subconscious mind. The subconscious mind is where your habits are  formed, believes developed and behaviors can be altered. With hypnosis  the conscious mind is bypassed and suggestions go directly to the  subconscious mind. It is very important to use the language of the  subconscious mind. This is the language of emotions and feelings and  what the subconscious mind will respond to.</p>
<p>Use positive  statements when writing a <a href="http://www.squidoo.com/self-hypnosis-relaxation-self-hypnosis-confidence">self hypnosis</a> script. As an example do not say I hate  smoking, instead say I love being healthy and strong, being able to take  complete full breaths. If you suggest a negative, the subconscious mind  will only reinforce that negative as it takes things very literal. What  happens is your subconscious mind will first have to think about the  act of smoking and then think about not doing it. This is really a  thinking process of the conscious mind.</p>
<p>It is always a good idea  to say the suggestion several times in several different ways. Using  weight loss as an example, you could say the following. I enjoy the  feeling of being slim and trim, I love the way people look at the  healthy me, my body feels healthy and fit.</p>
<p>It helps if you can  make things personal. The reason for this is the subconscious mind  understands emotions and personal is usually emotionally based. Weave  your feelings, hopes and ambitions into the script. It is also best to  use terms like &#8220;my health&#8221; &#8220;I will&#8221; instead of terms like &#8220;your health&#8221;.  This only applies when make a script for yourself.</p>
<p>When writing  your script follow a logical flow. This means that you should say things  in a way that would be easy to actually do. As an example you could say  &#8220;each day my energy level increase as my stress level decreases, I can  feel day by day my life is improved&#8221; instead of &#8220;I am full of energy  with no stress&#8221;. As you can see the second suggestion is abrupt with no  flow to it.</p>
<p>Use deepening suggestions that will not create fear.  An example of a deepening suggestion that could create fear is saying  &#8220;you are walking down the steps into the dark basement, going deeper  under ground&#8221;. A better deepening suggestion would be to say &#8220;it is a  cold night and you are slowly pulling the covers up. As they pass your  feet you can feel them becoming warm and relaxed&#8221;. The idea is to have  comfortable, safe feeling, deepening suggestions.</p>
<p>Make your  suggestions as simple and clear as possible. Always have your  suggestions look ahead to the future. The future can be one minute from  now, but they should always be forward looking.</p>
<p>If you can paint a  verbal picture this can be extremely helpful. Paint the picture of the  person after they have achieved the goal. As an example say &#8220;you are  walking down the street as you see an old friend and you stop to talk,  the friend pulls out a cigarette and offers you one. You politely  decline and as you are declining, you take a deep, full breath feeling  the clean, fresh air flow into your healthy, strong lungs.&#8221; Use  descriptive words to help create more emotion.</p>
<p>These suggestions are just some basic guidelines for creating a hypnosis script. Start simple and build from there.</p>

<p>&#8220;Is hypnosis real?&#8221; That is a question that gets asked quite a bit.  To many it is a field that seems far fetched and not feasible. Few  people are aware of the extensive scientific research and evidence  backing hypnosis. Hypnosis has many incredible and viable uses such as;  breaking bad habits, eliminating pain, achieving goals, increasing self  confidence, and the list goes on and on.</p>
<p>In answer to the question &#8220;is hypnosis real?&#8221;, yes it is very real and is used to make astounding changes in thousands of lives.</p>
<p>Simply  put, hypnosis is a focused state of mind with a heightened ability to  accept suggestions. It&#8217;s a way to communicate with the subconscious  mind. The subconscious part of the brain is accepting and open unlike  the conscious part of the brain which analyzes everything that passes  through it. When using hypnosis you are able to bypass the conscious and  critical part of the brain and speak directly to the part of the brain  that is easily influenced.</p>
<p>Most habits, beliefs, and attitudes are  stored in the subconscious mind. People try to change or influence  these unconscious thoughts consciously. The two parts of the brain are  not in agreement and therefore, permanent change cannot occur. Your  subconscious mind is an incredibly powerful machine that operates many  functions on auto pilot. Think about all of the things you are able to  accomplish without thinking about each step of the process. An example  would be something as simple as walking. You don&#8217;t consciously think  about lifting each foot or the process of heel-toe. Walking is  programmed into the subconscious mind so you don&#8217;t need to think about  each step of the process.</p>
<p>When you use hypnosis to reprogram  thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes in the subconscious mind, it creates  profound changes. If suggestions are placed effectively the mind can be  reprogrammed with healthier and more productive ideas, thoughts,  beliefs, and attitudes which will create positive actions.</p>
<p>Hypnosis  is a field that continues to be researched and perfected. Harvard,  Stanford, and Mount Sinai are just a sampling of the prestigious  institutions with programs doing research in hypnosis.</p>
<p>Hypnosis is  an extensive field and can create incredible change. It is a field that  has undergone much criticism, but is a real and valid tool that, when  used correctly, benefits an unbelievable number of people.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The confusion induction is a favorite of many famous hypnotists, especially Paul McKenna. The conscious mind is distracted, readying the subconscious into a state ready to receive hypnotic suggestions.</p>
<p>This is a technique used for therapeutic hypnosis rather than covert. As such you want your subject to either sit or lay in a comfortable position with their eyes closed.</p>
<p>You should read this induction in a slow, deliberate manner.</p>
<p><strong>The Induction</strong><br />
<em>(Read to your subject)</em></p>
<p>Allow your eyes to close and just let your mind wander wherever it desires.</p>
<p>You are aware of absolutely everything happening around you, yet at the same time you are unaware. As you focus with your subconscious mind your conscious mind is drifting far away and focusing on nothing. Your conscious mind is so far away that it cannot hear or sense anything. Your subconscious mind is in complete control.</p>
<p>You can relax, safe in the knowledge that your subconscious mind has taken charge. Your subconscious mind knows everything and your subconscious mind knows this. Know that your conscious mind is calm, peaceful and completely relaxed. It is off duty now.</p>
<p>Now on the count of five I would like you to begin counting down in your mind from three hundred and sixty all the way down to the number one.</p>
<p>1&#8230;<br />
2&#8230;<br />
3&#8230;<br />
4&#8230;<br />
5&#8230;</p>
<p>360&#8230;<br />
359&#8230;<br />
358&#8230;<br />
357&#8230;<br />
356&#8230;<br />
355&#8230;</p>
<p>That’s right. Keep counting down in your mind. If you lose track of where you are then start off from where you roughly were before. It doesn’t matter if your mind keeps completely drifting away. Allow yourself to just go with the flow.</p>
<p>As you countdown from three hundred and sixty to one, continue to listen to the sound of my voice.</p>

In order to speak to your subconscious mind so that it understands is what you&#8217;re doing, be sure to use lots of pictures and keep things simple. Several hypnotists and experts on the subconscious mind have said that effectively speaking to the subconscious mind is similar talking to a precocious 5 year old. </p>
<p> This is why hypnotists use simple commands and visuals when they are programming a persons subconscious mind. If you are looking to use self hypnosis to improve your snooker, it is highly recommended that you also use strong visuals and simple language.</p>
<p> Here is a simple way to use self hypnosis to improve your break building when you play snooker.</p>
<p> First, the subconscious mind needs to be accessed so that you can communicate to it effectively. The best way to get program your subconscious mind is to completely relax and have your conscious mind get bored and out of the way. This is why hypnotists have their clients count and take deep breaths and relax. When the conscious mind moves out of the way, the doors to the subconscious are more open. So, step one is to relax so that you can get into the subconscious part of your mind.</p>
<p> Second, since the subconscious speaks in pictures, it would be a good idea to imagine yourself making big breaks. Also, in order to effectively program your subconscious mind to believe that you are a big break builder, include lots of details in your imagined break. That means that you would envision yourself chalking up after each shot, sighting the white and object ball, feathering the white, and then pulling back the cue, pausing at the back of the backswing, and then delivering through the cue ball. This might be a lot to remember at first but with a bit of mental rehearsing you will have an easier time of imagining yourself going through all the chunks of information for your subconscious mind to process. So, the second step is to imagine building a big break and envisioning it with lots of sensory rich details. To make the mental movie more vivid, add the sound of the balls clicking and going in the pocket. You could even imagine Michaela Tabb announcing your score after every potted ball.</p>
<p> Third, repeat the process. In Maxwell Maltz&#8217;s classic book, Psycho-Cybernetics, he noticed that his clients normally take around 21 days to create a new habit. If you are going to use self-hypnosis to improve your snooker game, do these mental exercises and reserve judgment for at least 21 days. It is going to take that long for these new subconscious programs to become a new habit for your body to become accustomed to. The first few days are the toughest because your old habits will be much more deeply grooved and ingrained into your subconscious mind than just a few days of wishful imaginations. However, after doing this mental exercise for 21 days, your mind will then have the subconscious belief that you really are a big break builder.</p>
<p> It can be a challenge to train your brain to keep track of your imagined break building. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I have been a clinical hypnotherapist for several years and I have closely witnessed many almost miraculous results with hypnosis. Whilst I am not claiming that hypnosis can help with everything all the time, it does a pretty fantastic job in my experience.</p>
<p>Over the last several years I have helped so many people with such a wide array of things. I have helped probably hundreds of people, maybe thousands quit smoking for example. I have helped many people lose weight, quit addictions, become more confident, attract a new partner&#8230;the list goes on. I receive many heart warming emails from across the globe from satisfied clients who have listened to my audio sessions. From experience I know that hypnosis works.</p>
<p>Hypnosis works by reprogramming the subconscious mind. The subconscious mind is the most powerful part of our mind. It is the part that is intuitive, creative, and instinctive. It is the part of our mind that is responsible for our habits, fear responses and automatic functions such as our breathing, sweating and heart rate.</p>
<p>Although our subconscious mind is very powerful, it has difficulty understanding language. That is why you can explain to a small child or indeed anyone that a spider is nothing to fear. On a conscious level that person will fully understand and probably agree. However on a subconscious level they will not. This is why the automatic fear response is still triggered even after long discussions about spiders being much smaller and that they actually fear us etc. The fear response is triggered by the subconscious part of the mind that did not understand. The conscious part of the mind that does understand cannot influence the automatic fear response, just like it cannot influence our drives for habits such as smoking and overeating. That means that we must communicate with the subconscious part of the mind in order to effect a permanent change.</p>
<p>A hypnotherapist is trained to guide a person into a trance. A trance &#8216;tunes down&#8217; the conscious mind allowing greater access to the subconscious part. A good hypnotherapist is then able to communicate with the subconscious mind using metaphors, visualisations, and slow clear language.</p>
<p>A trained hypnotherapist can then tell the subconscious mind that a spider is nothing to be feared. They might for example guide the subject to visualise a spider dressed up as a clown, looking as ridiculous as possible. They may use special slow clear language to also relay this message. If this is done correctly, it will send out a strong message to the subconscious mind that a spider is not threatening, in a way that it understands. Once the subconscious mind understands this, it will no longer trigger the automatic fear response and a phobia is then cured.</p>
<p>Once you can effectively communicate with your subconscious mind, you can make many almost miraculous changes to your life. You can change almost any habit and any fear. You can become more confident, more successful, and more satisfied with life.</p>
<p>Like I said before, I have been a professional clinical hypnotherapist for several years and I have witnessed so many people change in a positive way as a result of hypnotherapy. I always feel a little saddened when I see people who I know would greatly benefit from hypnotherapy, miss out. So please, give hypnotherapy a go, I promise that you won&#8217;t be disappointed.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Negative thinking can be destructive and a major reason that we tend to be unsuccessful in our endeavors. We dream big dreams but we are often drawn back by our negative thoughts that we can never make it, or we can never achieve it. If you want to be happy and successful, then you have to find ways to stop negative thinking.</p>
<p> It is not that easy to get rid of negative thoughts though. Many people are willing and are very interested to lose weight these days but those who fail often say they cannot just go on and some negative thoughts are just in their mind such as being too tired to exercise or they are too lazy to wake up early in the morning.</p>
<p> Even at work, you may sometimes refuse to take bigger tasks or responsibilities at work because the negative thought that you can&#8217;t handle it came running in your mind. Indeed, these little negative thoughts hinder us to go for our dreams and goals and sometimes we don&#8217;t even think of them consciously, they just pop out of our minds.</p>
<p> The subconscious is a large part of our minds and some things that we may not received consciously may have gone deep into our subconscious affecting our attitudes and behavior, and that&#8217;s when we act negatively about a situation or think negatively of a person.</p>
<p> These days, there are many ways to conquer negative thoughts and one of this is hypnosis. In fact, hypnotherapy has been used in medical and military science and has helped a lot of people overcome their fears and anxieties, which can be largely due to some negative thoughts built up in the subconscious.</p>
<p> If you want to stop negative thinking, you can opt for hypnosis where a hypnotist will help condition you to a quiet and relaxing state and helping you overcome negative thoughts and fears.</p>
<p> You can also choose to do the hypnosis yourself so you won&#8217;t be needing another person if you want to practice it. Self-hypnosis is done by putting yourself into a deep relaxation with some techniques used like deep breathing, the use of a relaxing music and visualization. Sometimes it involves fixing your eyes in a moving object to help you relax your mind, although this is not necessary.</p>
<p> Once you are in a trance state where your subconscious is said to be easy to influence, you can then have positive affirmations and suggestions sent into your subconscious that will help you eliminate negative thoughts and reprogram your mind with positive ones. Keep in mind that self-hypnosis cannot stop negative thinking with just one session. You subconscious can be programmed with repetition, just like how your negative thoughts are being kept there, as you have repeatedly heard them over the years.</p>
<p> Practicing self-hypnosis can even help you not just only in overcoming negative thoughts but conquering bad habits as well. Indeed, you may have known how difficult it is to overcome a habit, but you can do it with the help of your subconscious. </p>
<p> Keep in mind too that negative thinking can be contagious so if you want to stop negative thinking, also make sure that you are surrounded with positive people and you have positive influences in life.   </p>
