Scripts for Hypnosis Are Necessary

If you have thought about “trying” a hypnosis session to change a habit or behavior, now is the time. You can’t get hurt, it doesn’t cost anything and there are no medications to take. There are several things that you will need to get started. Scripts for hypnosis are a necessity and should be considered before the first session.

If you are going to have a session offered by a qualified hypnotherapist or you are going to practice self hypnosis, you still need words or key phrases to help guide you through the session and towards your goal. The scripts can be generalized for the particular habit or issue but they should always be personalized for the subject/you.

This natural process, hypnosis, is something that many of us do more often than we might think. Hypnosis takes place in a certain state of relaxation; it is sometimes called a state that is somewhere between when you are awake and when you are asleep. Actually, you are quite awake it is just that during a hypnosis session, you are so focused on the scripts that you do not realize what is occurring around you.

When one is in a hypnotic state, they are still conscious and can, if necessary, be alert and ready to deal with any situation if necessary. When being hypnotized by a hypnotherapist, the hypnotherapist is stating the scripts and if there is a problem, they will assist you with that issue. When using the processes of self-hypnosis, you are able to “pull” yourself from the relaxation state at any given moment.

The scripts for hypnosis that should be used should always be in the present tense. For self-hypnosis purposes, the scripts should always include “I” because you are stating what you want to accomplish. If you decide to record your scripts and listen to them at a later time, then when recording rather than using “I”, you should use the word “you” because now you are listening rather than verbalizing the scripts.

Unique prerecorded scripts can be used or, as noted earlier, you can create your own. You must be careful in the scripts for hypnosis that you write. The scripts must be descriptive and powerful. The wording should not reflect into the past but the present and the future. The phrases should be able to invoke images that communicate to the subconscious what is needed to be done and what will happen once the required steps have been taken.

Without scripts for hypnosis, there is no hypnosis session. Yes, you can be very relaxed and have very calming music or relaxing sounds playing in the background but the words are the director and your mind is the actor. Spoken smoothly and somewhat slowly allows the mind to listen and comprehend what it is being told. The images that are created by the scripts allow the mind to understand more clearly and is more willing to follow the suggestions.

Clear and concise, powerful and directive should be your scripts for hypnosis. Once your mind is willing and you can be in a relaxed state to truly listen, and only listen, to the words that are spoken your hypnosis session will be positive and successful.

What Happens During a Hypnosis Session?

Are you wondering what happens to a person during a hypnosis session? To give a clearer insight below are the things which normally occurs during a hypnosis session.

The first part of the process is the pre induction phase. It is the time wherein the practitioner interviews the subject. No hypnosis is involved during this point. It only involves a thorough conversation to establish rapport with the patient. This part is significant as this is the venue for the practitioner to discuss the patient’s problem and its cause. Then the problem is diagnosed, afterwards the idea of hypnosis is introduced to the client explaining carefully its advantages. Several suggestibility tests will also be given that will confirm a patient’s hypnotizability.

Following this stage is the induction. Usually when we speak of induction it refers to the stage wherein a patient undergoes the trance state. During this condition a patient is relaxed and focuses on deep breathing.

For this specific duration of a patient eyes might close may it be naturally of as suggested by the hypnotizer. It is believed that when the eyes are closed it can progress the trance state however, one can still experience a hypnotic trance without having their eyes closed.

The third stage during a hypnotic session is called the deepening. At this point of time, a superficial hypnosis is brought to a deeper level. A practitioner may directly suggest anything to a client during this time. He or she may suggest directly to the client to go deeper and deeper into the trance state. Afterwards the scale of hypnosis is used to lead a patient. Like for example giving out an instruction to imagine that number five if for deep trance and number 10 is for being wide awake. When the client is being brought in and out into the trance state this kind of method is called as the fractionation.

The fourth part involves direct suggestions such as changing one’s behavior during the therapeutic session.

In the last and final stage of a hypnotic session a patient will normally return back to its consciousness.

According to those who have experience going into hypnotic session they would various kinds of sensations during the said event. Others claim to have a drifting sensation, numbness or lightness, rocking and tingling. Most of these individuals also admitted that during they hypnotic session the feel at peace, more relaxed and calmness.

For those who are of interest in trying hypnotic sessions, bear in mind that being relaxed is significant during the session. One must completely allow its self to go into the trance state and must never hold back. Rest assured that your hypnotherapist will do anything to make the session a successful one. Also take note that it is only by working side by side not against him or her and trusting your hypnotherapist that you can fully achieve your goal may it be overcoming a phobia, getting rid of anxiety or just you just simply want to feel serenity.

Can Anyone Be Hypnotized?

Hypnosis has a lot of critics out there. Since its introduction to the world, hypnosis has met a lot of criticism. If you collate all the criticisms though, most of it will boil down to the question of whether or not anybody can be hypnotized. This is really no surprise. A lot of people misconstrue the functions of hypnosis and how it works. Popular media has made it seem like hypnosis is some sort of brainwashing technique. People think that hypnosis is way for people to control the thinking and actions of other people. This is not true. Most people don’t how one can be hypnotized.

Hypnosis is really a state of mind rather than a triggered subconscious command. In order to be hypnotized, first of all, you have to be willing; meaning you can’t be hypnotized against your will. You have to open your mind and concentrate on the suggestions being given to you. Your brain will register these both in your conscious and unconscious thinking. This simply means your mind will instruct your body to follow the registered suggestions whenever they are applicable.

So can anybody be hypnotized? Yes. Anyone who is willing to reprogram themselves can be hypnotized. But you have to know that hypnotism is not easy task. First, you have to be prepared. You have to really want it. Having a close mind will just decrease the success of the hypnosis. So before committing to any kind of hypnosis, make sure to want it 100%. After that, look for a good hypnotizer. After finding one, don’t immediately ask for a hypnosis session. Get to know that person first and establish trust. Studies show that hypnosis is more effective when the operator and the subject have rapport.

After doing all of the necessary preparations, schedule a hypnosis session. While being hypnotized, make sure to focus. Contrary to popular belief, hypnosis takes effect only when the mind is at full attention; not when it is half asleep and unconscious. This way, you can register the suggestions to both your subconscious and conscious mind. While being hypnotized, relax your body, but retain your concentration on the instructions. All focus should be put on internalizing the suggestions mentally. Keep the body loose. Studies show that this state of body and mind increases the success rate of hypnosis.

By employing all these tips, a person can be hypnotized successfully. If you follow and understand all these steps properly, hypnosis will be easy. Note that hypnosis can be done to the self as well. The self is actually the best operator for hypnosis. Self hypnosis is what’s used in self help therapy. Subjects in self help therapy sessions hypnotize their selves to change certain aspects of their personalities. Hypnosis really works. Decades of research and experiments should be enough of a testament to that. Skepticism is the only thing that blocks hypnosis success. If you want to prove it yourself, make sure to have a lot of faith in it first.
