Top Ten Self Hypnosis Tips
As with everything in life, never start or venture into anything you don’t know a lot about. You must always have a good foundation on which to build on, otherwise your whole structure will be unstable and all your efforts will have gone for naught.
Here are my top ten tips for practicing self hypnosis.
1. Try to do your self hypnosis exercises consistently at the same time each day (as much possible anyway) for 15-30 minutes per session.
2. For the first few times that you practice self hypnosis, it’s recommended to only practice when you are in a somewhat relaxed condition to start with. So you may want to take a warm bath beforehand.
3. Do not force your mind when it is feeling fatigued or sleepy after a nerve-racking day. If you are very tired, then you’ll have trouble concentrating. If you need to take some time out, then just have put your feet up and get back to doing self hypnosis another time.
4. Formulate suggestions properly. No matter how effectively you practice a bad idea, it is still a bad idea. Give yourself specific commands, and phrase your hypnotic suggestions carefully, so as to form them correctly or once again, you will only act surprised when you fail. Remember, your subconscious needs the right cues, if it’s going to change your behaviours.
5. Ensure you’re prepared. Ahead of you start your session, know what suggestions you’ll be using. Don’t try to make them up on the fly. You want your conscious mind to relax and if you have to think too much, then your session won’t be very effective.
6. Find a quiet spot to practice. It’s best to minimise distractions while you are in the process of learning self hypnosis. Remember to turn off your phone and if anyone is in the area, ask them not to disrupt you.
7. Find a position where your body will be comfortable and you will find it a lot easier to enter t he hypnotic state. If you have a recliner, that would be perfect. Then again, make certain that you’re not so comfortable that you fall asleep – that defeats the purpose. A good position is to be sitting in a chair with your spine straight and your feet firmly planted on the floor.
8. Be patient. When learning a skill such as self-hypnosis, a lack of experience coupled with impatience equals all but guaranteed failure. So take your time, when dealing with your most potent and difficult-to-reach issues.
9. Make or buy a recording that guides you into hypnosis before you begin to apply suggestions. If you’re making it yourself you can either just record an induction or you may want to record your whole session, including the positive suggestions that you’ll be working with.
10. Practice putting yourself into a relaxed state as often as possible. Even if it’s just a couple of minutes here and there throughout the day, you will be able to get into hypnosis more effortlessly when you do your self hypnosis work.
Remember, the more you practice self-hypnosis, the better you’ll get, and soon you will be able to hypnotise yourself anytime and anywhere.

In any particular lifetime, the implications of the law of attraction are clear Kuan Yin teaches that beliefs (or "made-up stories") determine the experiences one will attract in this life or the next; that one reaps the consequences of the beliefs one sows: "The lesson on earth is acceptance of differences Don’t forget you are a part of everything and everything is a part of you "

How Covert Persuasion Increases Sales
Dantalion Jones says in his book “Mind Control 101″ that we constantly try to influence other people for some reason (e.g. in education). The desire to change others’ minds and behaviors is one of the main functions of communication. The neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) is used everywhere: e.g. when motivating a prospect to buy a specific product or service; creating panic to sell a certain stock; instilling trust in the authority that is speaking to you on TV; creating contempt for the competition while establishing greater customer loyalty; bringing in greater revenues; selling an undervalued product for a higher price; causing someone to reevaluate their prior beliefs. There are models of communication and behavior that can help you improve relationships with your clients, and become more effective in all areas of your business. Covert hypnosis or persuasion is the ability to subtly communicate with another person’s subconscious mind by bypassing the critical factor of the mind. As it often takes place in the course of a seemingly regular conversation, it is also known as Conversational Hypnosis.An amusing example of using covert hypnosis was presented on TV by Derren Brown where he influenced his friend to buy a BMX bike. The bike was never mentioned in the conversation, however it was hidden in the messages, such as “Let me tell you how I buy(K) gifts….by (BIKE) creating the strong feeling of desire …. they BeaM eXcitement for it.” Another amusing example may be presented in education where Derren demonstrates the ineffectiveness of telling children something that they must not do (such as ,,Don’t push that red button!”) without giving further instructions and disregarding the fact that our subconscious mind doesn’t make difference between a negation and a positive statement.
But how do you use NLP to persuade another person to buy or try your product or service, or change his/her behavior? Ken Hogan answers this question explicitly in his book “Covert Persuasion: Psychological Tactics and Tricks to Win the Game”. His book provides help in using the powers of NLP in personal and business life. Hogan claims that the central key in using covert persuasion is to find ways to elicit people’s individual processes. These processes may be in the form of beliefs, personal assumptions, tendencies and values, as well as of their strategy for making decisions. Hogan proposes eight strategies that could be helpful for utilizing covert persuasion. Firstly you should identify a targeted problem. This is something your prospect no longer wants to experience (e.g. high costs, poverty, debts). “Omega Strategy” is a persuasion strategy that doesn’t try to improve or enhance the value of a product, but is solely focused on reducing resistance. Hogan brings a “fear” as a good example on how to influence people effectively because fear is something we are all wired to fight or flee from. A good example here would be a sales campaign by T. Harv Eker. Eker is very well aware of linguistic programming and he is using it in his program when changing “Your Money Blueprint”. Eker uses fear scaring people to death when claiming that “If your money blueprint is not set for a high level of success, you will never have a lot of money. And even if you somehow do, you will most likely lose it!”
Hogan claims that the key factor of persuasion is giving instructions or steps when directing or influencing behavior. Simply telling someone to do something “Don’t push that red button!” or “If your money blueprint is not set on a high level of success, you are doomed!” is destined to fail because it doesn’t include instructions. However, if people have heard those phrases thousands of times already (like “Smoking will kill you!”), they are vaccinated against it, and they will not pay attention this petition any more. Hogan claims that at first we must scare people to hell and then give them specific instructions to follow. Therefore, Harv Eker gives us instructions such as “The good news is that you can actually reset your money blueprint to create natural and automatic success”. Hogan advises that if you are going to use fear in a communication in order to encourage someone to buy your product or service, you must also include step-by-step instructions in your message in order to be successful. Thus, based on neuro-linguistic programming, Eker states that it is insanity doing the same things over and over and expecting different results. According to Ken Strong the NLP assumes that what appears to be “wrong” with someone is actually the perfect response to their current map of their world or your so-called “money blueprint”. By changing your map or blueprint (that is, how you think about the world and your place in it), you can change your behavior. Hogan brings an example from a research where 69 percent from those told to imagine their car being vandalized, said they would return to the car to check if the doors were locked. Where people experience anticipated regret they tend to take action to prevent the regret.

As the name suggests self hypnosis is a form of hypnosis where a person induces the state on themselves. By now most people are aware of the many positive benefits that hypnosis brings and self hypnosis brings all those same benefits but with the added bonus of being able to be in complete control of the situation.
Just like hypnosis, self hypnosis can be used to aid weight loss, smoking cessation, sleep, relaxation, confidence and any number of other goals a person may have.
In this article though we will be looking at using self hypnosis for relaxation. Using the nine steps below you can teach yourself and experience the feeling of self hypnosis. Before we begin though I would like to say that hypnosis isn’t the magical “mind control” instrument some believe it to be. While you are hypnotized you will still be able to hear anything going on around you and most people remember everything that goes on during a hypnosis session. Instead expect to feel loose and relaxed.
Now we can begin the self hypnosis session.
1. Find a quiet room where you can either sit or lie down comfortably. Don’t cross your arms or legs as this inhibits your circulation. Also make sure that you won’t be disturbed for around thirty minutes.
2. Close your eyes and countdown as you take ten slow, deep breaths. Breathe in through your nose and breathe out through slightly pursed lips.
3. Allow yourself to feel any tension in your body. Starting with your toes and slowly moving up to the crown of your head imagine every part of your body becoming lighter and lighter. Move from your feet up to your calves, then your thighs, hips and so on. You may feel a tingling sensation in the body part you are thinking of, don’t worry this is perfectly normal.
4. Now your body will feel completely relaxed. Take ten more slow, deep breaths as you did before and appreciate just how loose and relaxed your body feels.
5. Begin to visualize yourself (either first or third person is fine, whatever comes naturally) resting on a big, fluffy cloud. There is nothing else around you. Feel how comfortable and relaxed you are on this fluffy cloud as it begins to descend gradually downwards. After a minute or so of travelling down the cloud stops and the darkness begins to transform into your perfect relaxation location. It might be the beach, the top of a mountain or wherever else you wish.
6. Let yourself off the cloud and step into this wondrously relaxing place you have created. Experience everything there is to experience about that place. Feel the ground beneath your feet, the breeze in the air and the sun on your face.
7. While you are enjoying this relaxing place affirm to yourself just how good you feel. Repeat positive affirmations such as “I am feeling calm and relaxed”. You could also include other affirmations here to help achieve other goals you have. For example if you wish to lose weight you could repeat the phrase “I enjoy eating healthy foods”.
8. When you are ready to end your session go back to your cloud and let it take you up and away.
9. Countdown from ten to one. While you do so begin to stretch out your muscles out carefully until you get to one where you can slowly open your eyes
You have now experienced self hypnosis. Like most skills, with self hypnosis, practice makes perfect so try doing this exercise a number of times. Once you’ve got the hang of it you could either look for more self hypnosis scripts on the internet or consider buying a course online. If you do decide to buy a self hypnosis course though please research the people behind the course thoroughly. Make sure they are a qualified hypnotherapist and have experience recording audio.
